About the Event
Aloha!
As a community stakeholder, we ask for your kōkua (help) in sharing the Spirit of Aloha. E Ala E Hawaiian Cultural Center (EHCC) is hosting an event and invites you to join us in making a difference by giving back to our community!
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit Hawaiian cultural organization serving the Washington, D.C. area since 2017. Our mission is to preserve and perpetuate the vibrancy of the Native Hawaiian people and culture and to create an inclusive community for people from all backgrounds to share the Spirit of Aloha.
As a part of our 2023 programs, which provide hands-on, culture-based events for all, our last event will be a gala to honor our Hulu Kūpuna (Precious Elders). We would be privileged for your company’s support.
- What: Holokū Ball (a holokū is a Hawaiian gown typically worn to formal events)
- When: Saturday, November 4, 2023
- Where: Westin Crystal City - Arlington, VA
- Time: 5:00PM – 10:00PM
Here are some details of our gala:
- 100+ guests
- Cocktail reception (cash bar) with Hawaiian music by Ramon Camarillo
- Hawaiian-style dinner buffet
- Entertainment featuring singer/songwriter, Kamakakehau Fernandez, accompanied by hula dancers from our community
- Fashion Show with our kūpuna and others as they share their beautiful holokū (a formal Hawaiian gown)
- Silent and Live Auctions
Your company’s sponsorship would give you an opportunity to showcase your business both in-person and through media exposure (Please email us your company logo in a High Resolution .png file). Also, your company will be promoted at all our educational and cultural programs. More importantly, you will foster the Spirit of Aloha by providing complimentary tickets to our hulu kūpuna.
